| When Adaptio is installed on a given PC the name of this PC becomes part of the installation process. Although the user is not required to input or even know the PC's name, Adaptio discovers the PC's name and then uses this name as part of the licensing process. If the name of the PC is ever changed (an extremely rare event), Adaptio will no longer function.
The PC's name can be found as follows. Select Start, Control Panel, System, and now under the Computer Name Tab, the computers name is in the field Computer descripton. I-O recommends this name never be changed. |
