| Some older 4224's do not respond at all to the Obtain Printer Characteristisc (OPC) command as sent by the iSeries (AS/400). This command is always sent down from the AS400 when talking TCP/IP to an IPDS printer. If the printer does not respond, the AS400 will totally shut down the printer. If the printer does not respond the LRPC will. However the only response to the OPC command the LRPC generates is a mpl (maximum page length) of 66 and mpp (maximum print position) of 132.
