Article #443 - Why is my HP printer with the I-O Flash printing slow?
Updated:03-07-2007 - Views: 37
For users of the following LaserJet printers: P3005, M3035mfp, M4345mfp, M5035mfp, if you are experiencing slow printing, your printer may need an HP firmware upgrade:

P3005 printers must be at firmware level 02.037.0.
M3035mfp, M4345mfp and M50535mfp printers must be at 48.021.7
Obtain the update from HP’s support line at 800-474-6836 or go to www.hp.com.

You will also need to change the printer’s JetDirect card for “buffer packing” setting.  Refer to the User’s Guide found on the CD provided with the flash card.  Make certain that you set the buffer packing to “1”.
