When configuring for host 5250 printing to a matrix printer using the windows driver, you may experience a 20 to 30 second delay from the time you send a host job, to the time the printer starts printing. This can be shortened to a few seconds by going into the Windows Printer Properties and in the Advanced tab, change the radio button From Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster/ Start printing immediately To Print directly to the printer. |
