| To print from Windows XP to a printer attached to the LAN via an I-O Print Server, XP's Firewall must either be turned off or ports 13 (daytime port) and 515 (lpr port) must be opened.
XP's Firewall is found inside Control Panel, then Security Center. It has also been found that XP's firewall has prevented the Configuration Utility from functioning properly and will not see the Print Server on the List of Devices. |
